Kids Corner A DOSE FROM DR. DAN Have you ever heard someone say that chickens can’t fly? Well, I once saw a chicken go from one side of a fence to the other, and let me tell you, she didn’t jump. She didn’t climb. She flew! She flapped her wings with all her might and lifted herself off the ground. That’s flying! She believed in herself when others didn’t. You see, people say all kinds of things: “You’re too little.” “It’s going to be too hard.” “You’re not strong enough.” But guess what? Sometimes, people can be wrong. When you flap your wings with all your might, when you practice faithfully day and night, when you choose not to give up the fight, that’s when something truly special can happen. So, if something in your heart says, “I think I can,” or better yet, “I know I can,” then it’s your job to listen and get to work.
And the next time someone doubts your dream — or even if you start to doubt yourself —just remember: If a chicken can fly, you can soar! P.S. Check out the QR code with your phone to see the Stickadoodle come to life!
