VICO HOMES X TAYLOR WIMPEY | ST MARY’S FIELD, RAWMARSH

A first-of-its-kind partnership between housing association Vico Homes and national homebuilder Taylor Wimpey has made over 40% of homes on one new build development accessible and affordable for first time buyers with Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy. On average, affordable housebuying options make up less than 3% of a new development. Putting first time buyers at the forefront, this development prioritises them by providing a way to get on the housing ladder with high-quality, future-proofed homes and, most importantly, giving buyers the power to choose their dream home from a wide selection. This partnership has become the blueprint to provide more 100% affordable homes across Yorkshire.

BELLWAY AND THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAVERING | ROE WOOD PARK

Roe Wood Park is an exceptional partnership between national housebuilder Bellway and the London Borough of Havering, securing the provision of high- quality housing and new public open space for the community now and in the future. The sale of the former Quarles Campus of Havering College in Harold Hill has already helped fund a new purpose-built skills centre in the borough, while the site is being regenerated into a new residential neighbourhood to help meet local housing needs. The development includes two and three bedroom houses for private sale, with 75% of the homes purchased to date bought by first time buyers, as well as one and two bedroom apartments and a two bedroom house available through Shared Ownership with Havering Council, and homes for both affordable and private rent. The partnership’s shared vision is making it more affordable for buyers to take their first step on the property ladder in Romford.
