At Hospice of Stanly, we created a new name to better reflect the expansion of services provided to our community. The addition of palliative care means that we can assist more members of our community and families with compassionate care for serious illness. We will continue the same high-quality care you’ve come to expect from our organization for more than 40 years. The board of directors, staff, and volunteers of Tillery Compassionate Care remains steadfastly committed to the patients and families we serve. We remain committed to the communities we serve. The person-centered care we deliver enables our patients and families who are living with a serious or life-limiting illness to be surrounded with compassion and support that promotes dignity, courage, and peace. That commitment to community fuels our desire for growth And the care we deliver is of the highest quality. We achieved a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) We were awarded the recognition of Hospice Honors Hospice of Stanly received a 10 out of 10 on the Hospice Care Index (CMS) outperforming the North Carolina average score of 9.4 and the national average of 8.8. Best Places To Work by Modern Healthcare I am honored and proud to lead this organization and the expert team of professionals who serve with me. I look forward to working alongside my team and the community as we continue to serve.

At Tillery Compassionate Care, we spark inspiration, hope, and peace enabling individuals with serious illness to embrace their spirit of life.

MISSION

With the support of our community, Tillery Compassionate Care is the preferred partner and respected resource for serious illness care. We live our mission and set the standard for optimal patient and family experiences.

Hospice Care

Hospice Care focuses on prioritizing comfort and quality of life by managing symptoms and providing emotional and spiritual support. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals who work together to provide care for the patient and family. Palliative Care provides an extra layer of support and focuses on improving the quality of life for both the patient and family when they are facing serious illness. Prevention and relief of the symptoms and stress that often accompany a chronic or serious illness is the primary focus.

Bereavement Services

Tillery Compassionate Care offers a full spectrum of care and counseling, not just to our patient families but to the entire community. The following are components of our bereavement program: Individual counseling provided by licensed therapists in home or office; pre- bereavement services; quarterly bereavement phone calls; memory bears; bereavement mailings; expressive arts summer series; pet therapy – Therapy dog, Theo; Camp Forget-Me-Not; Angel Tree Lighting, and Light the Lake.
