• Mining Survey Diploma, Unisa • Building Engineering Diploma, Tshwane South College • Project Management Certificate, University of South Africa • Phytomedicine and Natural Products Certificate, University of Pretoria Achievements One of my proudest achievements is founding a successful detergent manufacturing company that has not only thrived in a competitive market but has also made a significant impact on my community. From its inception, the company faced numerous challenges, including fierce competition and limited initial resources. However, through persistent effort and strategic planning, we managed to develop a high- quality product that resonated with consumers. A milestone was securing listings for our products in leading retail stores. This accomplishment was the result of relentless networking, effective marketing strategies and maintaining high production standards. By showcasing the unique benefits of our detergents, we were able to convince major retailers of the value we offered their customers. Moreover, one of the most fulfilling aspects of this journey has been the ability to employ the youth in my community. By providing job opportunities and fostering a supportive work environment, we’ve not only contributed to the local economy but also helped young individuals develop valuable skills and gain meaningful employment. The lessons I’ve learned are invaluable. First, the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges cannot be overstated. Second, building strong relationships and networks is crucial for business growth. Last, creating a positive social impact can drive both personal and professional satisfaction, reinforcing the purpose behind entrepreneurial endeavours. Mentors Several mentors and role models have significantly influenced my journey. One key mentor was a seasoned entrepreneur who provided invaluable guidance on strategic planning and navigating the challenges of starting a business. Their advice on maintaining resilience and fostering innovation was instrumental in shaping my approach. I’ve also been inspired by successful industry leaders whose commitment to quality and community impact has motivated me to pursue similar goals. Their examples have taught me the importance of integrity, hard work and continuous improvement in achieving long-term success.
