His legacy, etched in trophies and lives touched, continues to resonate far beyond the sidelines. When asked why he believes the European nation has not opened themselves up to African coaches leading teams in the continent, Mosimane said he hoped to see a change in this reality. “It is an unfortunate reality that we do not have African coaches in Europe, but we have European coaches here. A doctor in Africa can practise anywhere around the world but the African football fraternity has not been in that space. We hope to see a change in the future,” he says.

Despite challenges, such as limited facilities and financial constraints, Mosimane remains steadfast in his commitment to providing quality coaching and mentorship. “We’re not just teaching football skills; we’re nurturing holistic development,” Mosimane explains. “Our coaches undergo continuous training to impart not just technical skills but also values like teamwork and discipline.” A Patriotic Vision Mosimane’s dedication extends beyond the pitch to his deep- rooted patriotism for South Africa. Proudly carrying the national flag wherever he goes, he embodies a commitment to his homeland that transcends borders. “South Africa will always be my home,” Mosimane declares. “I believe in the potential of Bafana Bafana and remain ready to contribute whenever the opportunity arises.” In Pitso Mosimane, South Africa finds not just a football luminary, but a visionary leader dedicated to fostering talent and community development.
