F or 40 years, Hospice of Texarkana, Inc. has been the region’s trusted nonprofit provider of expert end-of-life care. As the only nonprofit hospice in the Texarkana area, the organization has supported thousands of patients and families with comprehensive services that include skilled nursing, medical equipment, medications, grief counseling, volunteer support, and spiritual care. Recognizing that some patients require more than home-based care, Hospice of Texarkana opened its state-of-the-art Care Center in 2016. This inpatient facility—the only freestanding hospice care center within a 75-mile radius— provides short-term medical support for symptom management and respite care, offering families seamless access without hospital delays. Founded in 1985 with a grant from the Junior League of Texarkana, Hospice of Texarkana remains mission-driven and community-focused. Its highly trained, compassionate team delivers care to anyone in need throughout the Texarkana, USA, region. The organization’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its numerous accolades: a
5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, recognition as a 2025 Hospice Honors recipient, accreditation by the Community Health Accreditation Program, and participation in the nationally recognized “We Honor Veterans” program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
