15 GOOD TO KNOW
The test results ______________________________________________________ Here are the results. How could that be? The actual puff looks a lot bigger on the mushroom Popcorn. It’s simple: Americans count the kernels per 10 g. For example, there are 49 mushroom kernels, and 65 butterfly kernels, a difference of 16 kernels. Mushroom puffs are also positioned closer together whereas butterfly puffs expand more.
What does this mean for YOU? ______________________________________________________ This means that with the same amount of corn, you get 14 x 3L bags of mushroom Popcorn,
but 19.3 x 3L bags of butterfly Popcorn.
butterfly Popcorn.
Want to see for yourself? Simply pop the exact same weight of Popcorn and pour it into bags! We used 1.2 kg of mushroom and 1.2 kg of but- terfly corn in a 48 oz machine for our test. You can use any quantity you want that your machine can handle. But remember to weigh the corn! Some promise extra puffy Popcorn, but the volume itself is low! Butterfly puffs may seem smaller (we believe), but they’re almost 40% greater and taste better (we believe). Mushroom puffs look good (we believe) and have a firmer bite, but have less volume.
For each type of corn we give you the ideal recipe – the perfect dosage for consistently delicious flavour.
achieves 40% more volume in the test
We’ll happily conduct the volume test at your place of business. Just give us a call.
