He was also selected for the Steven Adams High School Invitational camp – for the country’s top 20 young players – and the showcase game for the second year in a row, claiming numerous shooting competition records and titles. Topping his final season at College, Josh was selected for the Canterbury Rams 3×3 New Zealand National Basketball League team. Now 18, Josh cites his move from Nelson to Christ’s College in Year 11 as “one of the best decisions I have ever made”.
“It has certainly given me more opportunities in Basketball and a much better education,” he says of his time at College. “It has been brilliant to be with more like-minded people – finding those peers with the same aspirations and focus who are willing to chase their dreams. “Today, I am more well-rounded, benefiting from support across the whole school. “College has also really lifted my academic game, setting me up for a top-level Basketball scholarship in the US.”
