C apturing each boy at his best, individually – that’s the aim of the new Christ’s College Diploma for Years 10–11. Christ’s College Diploma Awards Co-ordinator Arthur Wood explains that the College Diploma – introduced this year in place of NCEA Level 1 – presents every boy with the opportunity to be recognised in every aspect of their College life. With the Black and White level, it is the College experience; Silver is initiative – extending themselves;

and Gold is impact – impacting on the community. “Our boys are busy young men and will find that most of what they do ‘above and beyond’ will be able to be recognised under the Diploma,” Arthur says.

Square IDEALS to work towards the College Graduate outcomes. Students who go above and beyond to show initiative and have an impact in these areas can be awarded Silver and Gold Diplomas to recognise their holistic experience at school. “I think the biggest obstacle for the boys has been to understand what it takes to attain higher levels of Diploma achievement,” Arthur says.
