students are now firmly on track, recognising that much of what they already do fulfils the requirements of the seven elements – Academic Engagement, Character and Leadership, Community and Service, Discovery and Challenge, Global Citizenship, Sustainable Future and Taha Māori – of the College Diploma. And they understand how to take the step up to Silver, and, for some, the Gold Award. “College is a busy place, and
we are giving the boys the opportunity to be recognised for all that they get involved in at school – in the classroom, on the sports field or the stage, singing in the choir, or doing the things that they enjoy after hours, too,” he says. Arthur helps the boys to comprehend how much they already achieve in everyday College life and can submit these for recognition under the Diploma.
