What specialty do you plan to undertake? Tom: I’m not sure what direction I want to head in but areas I have enjoyed are orthopaedics, anaesthetics, emergency anaesthetics and general practice both appealing options, for very different reasons.

Jack: I really enjoy (attempting) to interpret medical imaging (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs) so my current plan is to do radiology, which involves interpreting medical imaging, or interventional radiology. Fraser: One day I’d like to answer that question with conviction. If I had to narrow it down, I’d say medicine or surgery. Or radiology. Or anesthetics. Or psychiatry. Probably not pathology. I also recommend taking this approach into the working life, as even though it’s become a bit of a cliché, a team environment is really the best environment. Luke: By providing therapy pitched to the guidelines in a refreshing way. This means

How do you hope to help others? Will: I suppose one way I always try to help others is by providing support to friends and colleagues while learning and at work.

learning environments can be very stressful. While competitive courses can make you think you’re at odds with those around you, I think that those who instead provide each other support and assistance tend to be much more successful in the long run.
