damaging commodities? Yet, the moment someone begins to use money for its rightful purpose in serving the Lord, there are those who are ready to find fault. Judas wanted to know why Mary wasted the oint ment. How like natural man! But, what about us? Are we willing to give our best to the Lord Jesus Christ? Q . Orangevaie, Calif. — “Where do the cavemen fit in according to God’s plan?” A. Without being facetious, let me just say that the “cave men” who were saved fit into God’s plan the same as all other human beings who have accepted His promise by faith. No doubt, however, you’re referring to the so-called “cave men” about which evolution has sought to teach erroneously. The fact is, there are no “missing links” because God cre ated man, as well as animals and other forms of life. Cave men were human beings who lived in caves be longing to the Cro-Magnon race. Keep in mind, too, that there are still people living in caves today, such as down in Mexico and South America. This has no relation to any evolu tionary process whatsoever. No doubt Adam and Eve, as well as their de scendants, lived in caves. They were not inferior but of the highest de velopment spiritually, intellectually and physically. Q. Q . San Martin, Calif. — “Since eagle is mentioned in the Bible, and also appears on our country’s currency, I wondered i f these passages might refer to the United States?” A. No, there is no prophetic refer ence to the United States at all. In reading Ezekiel 1:10, we do have what some biblical scholars feel is a reference to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Matthew has the symbol ism of the lion (Our Lord, the lion of the tribe of Judah); Mark the ox, (representing Christ as the serv ant) ; Luke the man (the perfect hu manity of Jesus); and John the symbolism of the eagle (as this ma jestic bird soars heavenward, even so John’s gospel looks into the heart of the Saviour). Q . Huntington Park, Calif. — “In John 12, where Mary anoints Jesus, and Mark 14, where the same took place in the house of Simon the leper, do you think this act was done by the same person?” A. Yes, these are two accounts of the same instance. Frequently one of the gospel writers will add a feature or detail that another has not men tioned. In this case the parallel ac counts are Matthew 26:6-13, Mark 14:3-9 and John 21:1-8. Each of the Scriptures supplements the oth ers but they do not contradict. Isn’t it strange how people can spend tre mendous amounts on such things as tobacco, alcohol and other physically
