A NEW ERA OF CARE AT THE SHORE, POWERED BY GENEROSITY

This summer, Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional marked a transformative milestone: it is now an officially approved Radiation Oncology site of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. This designation ensures that patients in Cape May and Atlantic counties can now receive cutting-edge radiation therapy close to home, delivered by a specialized team and guided by MD Anderson’s nationally recognized protocols. It’s a powerful step forward in providing advanced cancer care to the region. This achievement is part of a broader effort to bring more specialty services and enhanced care delivery to the Jersey Shore. Earlier this year, Cooper Cape opened its newly expanded Emergency

Department, made possible by $7.5 million in philanthropic support toward the $19.9 million project. The expansion adds nine patient bays and dedicated radiology equipment, enabling faster, more comprehensive emergency care. A transformational $3 million pledge from the Larry L. Luing Family Foundation, Inc. names the Emergency Department in recognition of their commitment to strengthening care at the Shore. Philanthropy is also driving growth in Radiology, now housed in a 15,000 sq ft. expanded space featuring a state- of-the-art Interventional Radiology Suite, 128-slice CT scanner, X-ray and Ultrasound Suite, and Fluoroscopy Suite. These upgrades are bringing the most advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities in the county directly to the community.
