A HOME FULL OF LIFE 4816 4th Avenue | Avalon
This Avalon home was designed for a super fun and close-knit family with four grown children - all with the future in mind. Each kid has their own room, plus a guest room nearby so friends (and one day, grandchildren) always have a place to stay. The home has 9 bedrooms- one being a bunk room (4 beds plus a sectional!). The home has the traditional family room downstairs and living room upstairs, but it also has a few unique hangout rooms- like a second floor game room with tons of TV seating and a game table, a third floor den with a cozy little sectional and a built in desk, and an indoor/outdoor room that serves as a hangout off the pool. The house was designed to bring people together- whether it’s a big family weekend, a casual summer evening with friends, or a charity event. Comfort was a key factor in designing this home. The game room sectional is so deep and cozy, one side is actually the size of a queen bed! Entertaining was top of mind throughout the entire design process. The second-
floor kitchen includes a full butler’s pantry, which makes entertaining a breeze. Downstairs, the indoor/outdoor kitchen is perfect for more casual moments and family meals. The outdoor spaces have multiple dining tables and seating areas, so an entire party could truly be hosted just outdoors. Turquoise was MGI’s starting point for color- it is the client’s favorite color, and we carried it through the house along with greens, blacks, and fun little pops of pink, yellow, and light blue. White oak is a constant neutral throughout the home. Every detail of this home was thoughtfully chosen to create a home that feels warm, welcoming, and full of life - just like the family who lives there.
