and th an k Jesus for H is loving care over us through another week. Lesson Story.—We were all so interested in hearing L illian tell us of her tr ip , on the ocean, and our story is about Paul and the wonderful trip he took on the ocean. Paul did not travel in a fine big ocean steamer like the one L illian traveled in, but the one he was in was a sail ship- and was carried over the sea by the wind. I t was a big ship for there were two hun dred and seventy-six men on board in the story we have today. Paul w ith a num ber of other prisoners was being tak en to the city of Borne, and there was a g re a t storm on the sea, and the boat and all on board were in great danger of being lost. Here again we see Paul in very great danger, bu t he is not afraid, because he is tru sting in Jesus to tak e care of him in the great storm. A t one tim e when the captain of the ship thought the boat was going to sink, they threw some of the wheat they were carrying overboard to lighten the ship. Some of the men be came so frightened they began to lower a life boat, but when Paul saw them he spoke to the captain and said these men would be lost if they got into the life boat. When they had given up all hope of be ing. saved P aul told them to be of good cheer. I wonder how P aul could be so brave and calm in such great danger? L isten and we will le a rn the secret. In the night an angel stood by Paul and told him th a t all th e people on the ship would be saved, b u t the ship would be lost w ith the cargo of wheat. A fter two weeks in the awful storm, Paul begged them all to have something to eat, fo r during all th a t time they were so busy try in g to save the ship, and so frightened, th a t they had eaten hardly any food. When Paul had said this he took bread and thanked God for it before them all. A fter they had eaten they were cheered and fe lt stronger. When it was daylight they could see some land, bu t they did not know where they were. They steered the ship toward the land, bu t before they could reach it, the ship ran aground, and the fore p a rt was
