Flint Group Packaging will increase the prices of all its packaging products sold by the Flexible Pack- aging, Paper & Board and Narrow Web businesses. Further to multiple announcements advising of the worsening market conditions throughout 2021, the group has continued to weather unprecedented raw material, packaging, energy and freight cost in- creases, said the company. PRINTING United Alliance Opens Awards Program PRINTING United Alliance, a member-based printing and graphic arts association, announced that this year’s Premier PRINT Awards competi- tion has officially opened. Launched last year as a more streamlined program to showcase the best in print communications, the competition comprises the former SGIA Golden Image Award, Printing Im- pressions Gold Ink Award, Packaging Impressions Excellence Award, and Printing Industries of Amer- ica ‘Benny’ Award. Entries exemplify excellence in quality, creativity, and innovation across the print- ing industry. The global competition is open to printers around the world through May 15, with a discount for cur- rent PRINTING United Alliance members. Students are encouraged to partic- ipate, and entries are free for any PRINTING United Alliance educational institution member. Maxcess RotoMetrics Rotary Die Facility In China Maxcess, a supplier of products and services for web handling applications, announced the open- ing of its new RotoMetrics, a Maxcess brand, rotary die-cutting factory in China. The new plant will man- ufacture and refurbish magnetic cylinders for flexi- ble die applications and solid rotary die tooling.
