Glenroy Joins Association Of Plastic Recyclers Sustainable flexible packaging company Glenroy has joined the Association of Plastic Recyclers. The TruRenu sustainable flexible packaging port- folio from Glenroy features high-barrier, recyclable pouches and film laminations that qualify for the How2Recycle store drop-off label program and the NexTrex Recycling Program. The portfolio includes high-barrier post-consumer recycled (PCR) pouch- es and film laminations made with up to 53 percent recycled content, the premade StandCap Pouch in a PCR format with up to 48 percent recycled con- tent and the new recycle-ready premade StandCap Pouch, a 100 percent Polyethylene structure. UPM Raflatac Launches Craft Beverage Labels UPM Raflatac has designed a new range of craft beverage labeling in response to challenges in ob- taining pre-printed aluminum cans. The range of- fers both film and paper labeling materials. The range includes paper and film options, includ- ing wet-strength facestocks, which provide optimal performance in wet and humid conditions. “Overall aluminum can shortages appear likely to continue deep into 2022 and perhaps further,” according to The Brewers Association, “as there is more competition for aluminum from within both alcohol as well as non-alcohol beverage types and more demand for this package type.” PCMC Partners With Fox Valley Flexo Services Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), a part of Barry-Wehmiller, has formed a partnership with Fox Valley Flexo Services to provide educa- tional opportunities, demonstrations and training through PCMC’s Packaging Innovation Center. Innovation Center PCMC’s Packaging Innovation Center, located at its headquarters in Green Bay, Wisconsin, serves the printing industry as a resource for training, demonstrations and industry trials, along with re- search and development opportunities. It features equipment with capabilities in central impression and inline flexographic printing, digital printing, lamination, and bag and pouch converting. PCMC’s first hands-on learning event led by Fox Valley Flexo Services will be held March 8-10.
