Enslaved artist David Drake signed this jar, now on view in the study gallery, with the initials of his enslaver, pottery factory owner Lewis Miles. The museum owned three prints by Georgia native Emma Amos but no larger-scale works until now. This multimedia work will go on display next year as part of a reinstallation of contemporary art.
