T hat split second when she tripped the shutter was both a combination of training and instinct. Waiting for the perfect moment to capture an image that did not warrant the delete button. Unlike many digital photographers she rarely looked at her image immediately after taking it. She treated her digital camera much the same as her film camera . . . she waited. She learned that if she tried to analyze her image in that shutter-tripping moment all creativity left. There were times she wished she had looked more carefully but realized this was not part of her process and she accepted that. She was happy she caught this image at exactly the right moment.
