M OROCCAN W OMAN S he appreciated the highlights of this culture but had not given too much thought as to what that meant in a day-to-day reality. The women were dressed in their heavy layers when in public, but did they wear all of this at home? When they were cooking, or cleaning or just relaxing with a cup of tea and a book? She could not begin to comprehend the additional struggles these women had to endure. It reminded her of the absurd clothing Victorian women found themselves wearing. She embraced progress but wondered if and whenprogress might come to cultures like this, or did the women even care?
