She loves books and music, German Shepherd dogs, and beautiful things. . . and can’t remember a time without a camera in hand. This series of “Moody Blues” is a one-of-a-kind riff on original images from her forthcoming coffeetable book, “The Flowers of Shangri-la”. She lives just south of Ann Arbor, in a little, light-filled house on Willow Pond, with her white shepherd Zevon John (a/k/a “Q-tip”), where she can sometimes be persuaded to venture out from retirement to create beautiful, soulful portraits of very special companion animals. Matthew Lawrence Matthew’s surprising injections of energetic expression into his generally conservative and precise artistic style yield dynamic and emotional works of art. Matthew is classically trained in painting, drawing, sculpture, mosaic, woodwork, and music. Matthew is a graduate of Michigan State University’s James Madison College and holds a BA in political science and economics.
