Congratulations to Phi Nguyen on her recent engagement. Despite a rainy weekend that nearly canceled their plans, Phi’s fiancé insisted they keep their lunch reservation at Terranea Resort. November Highlights
Retail Sales Congratulations to top performers for November. Leading the group is Greg Valencia with an outstanding 27 loans totaling $8.2M and Jessica Reynolds followed with 15 loans for $4.8M . Great work as well to Everett Brunelle , who closed 7 loans totaling $3.0M , and Sean Reihani with 8 loans for $1.5M . Rounding out the group, John Yeargin delivered 7 loans totaling $929K .
This past week Jessica Reynolds and Anthony Jarvis represented AHL at the HomeVestors Convention in San Diego.
Retail Operations A big congratulations to Megan Medina on her promotion to Lead Funder! 🎉 This well-earned advancement reflects Megan’s hard work, expertise, and dedication to supporting our retail operations team. We’re excited to see her continue to grow and lead in this new role. TPO Sales November wrapped up with the expected holiday slowdown, but the team showed strong execution by moving a high volume of loans in a shortened production window. TPO funded 224 units totaling $88.0M, and AHL funded just over $120M overall, lower than October, but a clear reminder of what’s possible when our teams rally and push through. As we head into December, staying aggressive early in the month will be key, especially with limited vendor availability around the holidays. Let’s keep the conversations going, spread some holiday cheer, and sprint through the finish line to close out the year strong. TPO Operations The TPO Operations team is pleased to announce the following promotions: Lindsay Costley from Account Manager Lead to Fulfillment Manager; Devan Cornelius from Jr. Account Manager to Account Manager, and Rachel Gregg from Post Closing Specialist to Post Closing Team Lead. These team members are the epitome of our Culture, and their work ethic and contributions have been instrumental in our success. With the promotion of Lindsay to Fulfillment Manager, the TPO Ops Account Management teams have been realigned ensuring that every AE has a primary Account Manager and a team to support our AE’s and our brokers. Meetings have been held with the Sales Managers and group meetings with our Account Executives and their Account Manager team so that everyone had the opportunity to meet each other face to face. Congratulations to Lindsay, Devan and Rachel on well-deserved promotions! Our Post Closing team continues to just hit the ball out of the park! This team manages all of the third-party review, which includes uploads, analyzing results, working any conditions/exceptions for acceptable securitization grades; assignments; trailing documents; collateral- which is a huge endeavor. They also handle all of our loan sales which, while it sounds pretty easy, is very labor intensive. This includes creating data tapes; shipping collateral from our custodian; uploading loan files; working with our Third-Party Review firm for securitization reports and Reliance Letters, etc. Some investors have special requirements like Bailee Letters. The team works really closely with Capital Markets to make sure timelines are met so the loans may be sold by the committed date. With the growth of our Retail Division, the team works substantially more RTL loans, which have their own due diligence review process and are quite different than non-QM loans. Our average time to clear Due Diligence, as a whole, is less than 5 days which is amazing! This team is working hard, behind the scenes, to make sure our loans are able to be securitized and sold on time with no challenges. They also follow up for trailing documents and getting those documents to the proper investor. This ensures that AHL has cash flow to continue our growth! A big thank you to our Post Closing team managed by Holly Keith . AE Corner with D’Anthony In this month’s AE Corner, Dan and Anthony shared a heartfelt tribute to Doug Lawrence and the lasting impact he made on our team. They also discussed the importance of consistency, strong broker relationships, and focusing on AHL’s core strengths heading into 2026. Their message to AEs: stay connected, keep improving, and carry Doug’s spirit forward as we grow together. 👉 Watch the December D’anthony Minute HERE.

Bryan Knabe : Visor. Velcro closure in the back. Those are nice because fit can be fine-tuned unlike the trucker hat plastic closures. The Velcro closures are also more comfortable than plastic closure on your forehead if you wear it backwards. Royal blue quarter zip. True to size. Comfortable.
Jonathon Miranda . I have bought a nice hunting shirt to wear during hot days here in Texas. This shirt is fantastic as it is light weight and breathes very well. I could not ask for a better shirt to wear during those hot Texas days. Love the camo theme as well.

In Loving Memory of Doug Lawrence A Leader Who Built Teams, Lifted Spirits, and Changed Lives. Our AHL family is heartbroken by the loss of Doug Lawrence, a remarkable leader, mentor, and friend who joined us in July 2023 and became an unforgettable part of our culture and our hearts. Doug played a pivotal role in building our TPO Western Sales
Team, but his true impact reached far beyond job titles or metrics. He built connection. He built confidence. He built people. Doug had a rare gift: he made every person feel seen, valued, and welcome. He led with kindness, humor, humility, and an unwavering belief in others. He listened deeply, encouraged generously, and created moments of joy in even the busiest days. Whether he was sharing stories (and he had endless ones), offering support during a stressful moment, or turning an ordinary outing into a memory, Doug made work, and life, brighter. Doug was selfless in the way he showed up for others. Charismatic in the way he energized a room. Genuine in the way he shared his heart. And unforgettable in the way he touched the lives around him. We will miss Doug dearly. We will carry his lessons forward. Thank you, Doug, for everything. Your legacy lives on in all of us.
I love Dougie (as he let me call him). He was always there to listen, encourage and have a good laugh. Doug was great at telling stories and making people feel part of the group. He reached out to me 2 years ago to bring me into the AHL family and I am so glad that he did. I will miss him dearly. Love you Dougie! - Regina Richardson

I did not often have the pleasure of seeing Doug in person but remember a fun night when we were both in the corporate office at the same time. Doug invited me to dinner with some of his sales team. Well, he took us to an Italian restaurant, where I swear everyone knew him by name. He arranged for us to have dinner at a table in the kitchen. It was just our table in the kitchen, close to the pasta making machines so not only did we have a fabulous meal but got to watch our pasta being made! The company was great and Doug’s stories even greater. It was truly a really fun time! - Jackie Weed
First time I met Doug was at the 2024 road show, I was only with the AHL for 6-8 weeks. He made me feel welcome and was so easy to talk with. I was lucky enough to be in his boat on the Duffy boats and got to hear all the stories he had about who lived where and whose boat was whose. It was a great time hearing his stories and the history of them. We went to the baseball game on Thursday and on the bus ride I jokingly asked if he was going to give me the tour on the way, he sat down next to me and gave me the tour. It was a great time and thankful that I got to spend that time with him learning about the area and feeling like being a part of it with being so new here. Every time I was on a call he was great to talk with and will be dearly missed. - Adam Anderson
Edition 12 December 2025
The thing I remember most about Doug is how positive and personable he was since the day I met him. Whenever he would see us in person or hold a meeting, he would make you feel like a friend he’s known for so long and always tell the best stories, about his time in the industry, his family, his move to Texas, and everything in between. He was always making me laugh and make light of a hard thing – even with month end craziness or tough brokers, he always reminded me that all you can do is your best and as long as you’re doing that, it’s all that matters. Doug was always so encouraging and when we’d have a good month he’d always cheer us on. He was always there to support us whether it be on rushes, lock extensions, or to just be a sounding board. I feel so blessed that I was able to be on his team until his final days and will always have the utmost respect and admiration for him. We will miss Doug dearly and will never forget him or his impact on our lives. - Jennifer Sullivan
Doug was the brightest light in the room. Quick to smile, quick to give you a warm welcoming embrace, always full of positive energy. Doug had a long list of friends and even a longer list of stories to share. I will forever miss his charismatic energy, his gently laugh, and the man that cared so deeply about me. - Justin Smith
Doug was a great man. When he took over as manager when my previous manager moved companies, all he wanted to do was see me grow. It was outstanding to see his drive. He never hesitated to. He truly cared about my growth and trajectory. A selfless man and great colleague. Rest in peach to Doug and may God bless his soul and his family. Thanks for everything Doug. You’ll live in our memories forever. - Charlie Gonzalez

After 10 months of work, he surprised Allyson with the fully restored car, complete with an “In Memory of James G. Parker” tribute on the back window.

This photo captures a special moment for our family, my husband, Garrett, and our son, Ryan, racing in their very first event in Pahrump, NV this October. The car belongs to Meco Racing, a family legacy started by Morley (“Grandpa”), the father of Garrett’s best friend, Mike. After Mike’s passing three years ago, and his wife Mel earlier this year, Morley told Garrett, “Take the new car, race it, you deserve it.”
Garrett and our boys completely prepped and wired the car themselves, passing tech inspection and making their first race a reality. This past week we were off to Laughlin, NV, where Garrett and Ryan raced again alongside Grant, our godson, with Morley, the sisters, and the whole family cheering them on. A meaningful race for all of us.

Our Vintage Truck Story. Years ago, we spotted a beautiful old truck tucked away in a family member’s garage. My husband and I fell in love instantly and told him, “If you ever sell her, we want first dibs!” His answer was always the same: “Never. She’s my baby—30 years in the making.” Fast-forward five years: his health declined, and he came to us with an offer—but with one condition: the truck had to stay with us forever. We agreed without hesitation. He Passed last year, and we’re grateful we can carry his legacy through her, she’s our pride and joy , and every weekend cruise keeps his memory riding with us. We meet wonderful people along the way, and she’s officially part of our family for life.

I have been in love with cars since I was a kid with a dodge viper poster on my wall. I frequently go to the car show on Saturday mornings in Huntington Beach and Cars and Coffee in San Clemente, CA. I learned to drive stick shift in drivers ed and every car that I have owned has been a manual transmission and I have done most of the mechanical work myself or with friends. I have had the privilege to participate in Auto cross racing competitions and am planning on doing the BMW driving experience in Southern California next year. My previous car was a 1992 BMW 318is that I was restoring, but it became too much of a money pit and decided to buy a “newer” car. I finally hunted down my current car which is a 2006 BMW 330i that I absolutely love. I also recently purchased a Suzuki SV650 motorcycle and enjoy the weekend rides on the coast and quicker commute to work. My passion for cars and motorcycles is an expensive but rewarding hobby.

While he enjoys car shows, his favorite thing is taking his classics, 1923 Ford model T and 1930 DeSoto SC Coupe, to local retirement homes. Residents light up, reminisce, and even those with memory loss often recall the cars they once owned. For him, it’s more than a hobby, it’s a way to share joy and spark meaningful memories.

Meyers Manx was just a fabricator in the 60s who took VW bugs and fabricated them into dune buggies…so it’s basically a VW Bug chassis with fun fenders and a roll cage. Mickey Mouse was painted on it well before I bought it. It became my daily driver during the recession. Thank God that ended pretty quick because it was cold driving that in the winter.
