I did not often have the pleasure of seeing Doug in person but remember a fun night when we were both in the corporate office at the same time. Doug invited me to dinner with some of his sales team. Well, he took us to an Italian restaurant, where I swear everyone knew him by name. He arranged for us to have dinner at a table in the kitchen. It was just our table in the kitchen, close to the pasta making machines so not only did we have a fabulous meal but got to watch our pasta being made! The company was great and Doug’s stories even greater. It was truly a really fun time! - Jackie Weed
First time I met Doug was at the 2024 road show, I was only with the AHL for 6-8 weeks. He made me feel welcome and was so easy to talk with. I was lucky enough to be in his boat on the Duffy boats and got to hear all the stories he had about who lived where and whose boat was whose. It was a great time hearing his stories and the history of them. We went to the baseball game on Thursday and on the bus ride I jokingly asked if he was going to give me the tour on the way, he sat down next to me and gave me the tour. It was a great time and thankful that I got to spend that time with him learning about the area and feeling like being a part of it with being so new here. Every time I was on a call he was great to talk with and will be dearly missed. - Adam Anderson
