Richard’s Gratitude to Mt. Sinai Hospital A LIFELONG PROMISE TO GIVE BACK This summer, RPIA CEO Richard Pilosof completed his four-year term as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Sinai Health Foundation. A member of Sinai Health Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2010, Richard will continue to stay involved as Treasurer of the Board. With his chapter as Board Chair drawing to a close, Richard took time to reflect on what has driven him to so loyally commit to this organization and its lifesaving care.

31 years ago, Richard went through what he still recalls as one of the most harrowing moments of his life. When his firstborn son, Jordan, was born at Mount Sinai Hospital, nine weeks premature, there was no noise – not a single cry. Over the course of the next two months, the young Pilosof family embarked on an intense NICU journey. Richard recounted, “It was just day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute.” To this day, Richard credits the specialized care team at Mount Sinai for saving Jordan’s life. This gratitude has inspired over three decades of giving back to the organization by volunteering his time, his skills, and his pocket.

I will be forever grateful for the compassionate and excellent care my family received at Mount Sinai Hospital.
