L’unmesure environ 5 pi 6 po (1,68 m) et l’autre 6 pi 1 po (1,85m). Les mêmes suspects auraient commis des vols dans d’autres commerces de la région, y compris Sainte-Martine, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Châteauguay et Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, en décembre et janvier. Ils utiliseraient lemême mode opératoire. La Sûreté du Québec demande l’aide de la population afin de les identifier. Un vol a été commis dans un commerce de la rue Principale à Grenville, le 25 janvier dernier à 3 h du matin. Selon la porte-parole de la Sûreté du Québec, Ingrid Asselin, deux suspects cagoulés ont fait irruptiondans uncommerce Unlucky traffic stop A routine traffic check on Hampden Street in Hawkesbury early in the afternoon on January 11 led to charges of cocaine possession, possession of burglary tools, and seven counts of probation order violation for Jean-François Auprix, 31, of L’Orignal.A computer check showed he was also in violation of a court probation order. Two masked suspects carrying firearms committed a robbery at a business on Principale Street inGrenville on January 25 at 3 a.m. —archives photo Drug case Jonathan Cadieux pled guilty in provincial court, January 24, to possession of methamphetamine. The charge resulted from OPP investigation of a motor vehicle incident in Hawkesbury, October 17 2017, during which a few methamphetamine pills were found and seized. Cadieux was fined $200 plus a $60 victim surcharge. – Gregg Jailed for drugs Benoît Cousineau of Alfred-Plantagenet Town- ship pled guilty in provincial court, January 10, to four charges of drug possession with intent to traffic. The charges resulted from four separate incidents in the Village of Alfred during April 2017. Judge Marc D’Amour sentenced Cousineau to four months in jail, followed by a two-month probation period, which includes a no-contact order concerning two witnesses to the incident. – Gregg Chamberlain Assault conviction Jean Bourgeois of Champlain Township pled guilty to assault during the January 24 provincial court session in L’Orignal. The charge followed police investigation of a domestic disturbance complaint on October 14 and 15, 2017. Bour- geois received a suspended sentence with 15 months probation. Conditions of the proba- tion include a no-contact order concerning the victim in the complaint and an order to avoid being 100 metres of any place where she is. Bourgeois is also confined to his home when he has been drinking and he must take anger management and domestic abuse counselling. He is also under a 10-year weapons’ possession ban and must provide a DNA sample for police records. He also has a $100 victim surcharge fine. – Gregg Chamberlain Forcible entry conviction Maxime Jérôme pled guilty to a forcible entry charge in provincial court in L’Orignal, January 24.The charge resulted from OPP investigation of a complaint in Champlain Township, October 4, 2017. Jérôme received a conditional dis- charge with 18 months probation, a no-contact order concerning the victim in the complaint, and a $100 victim surcharge fine. – Gregg Chamberlain
