THE

Smashing Pumpkins Nursery soup

YUMMY SOUP The children in Nursery have enjoyed exploring pumpkins this week. They described what they could see, feel, smell and even taste! The children used words such as slimy, squidgy and disgusting to describe the inside of the pumpkin and hard, round and smooth to describe the outside. The children took part in chopping the vegetable ready for cooking pumpkin soup. Some of the children liked the taste of the soup, but every one had fun exploring!

Thanks to Mrs Gaxherri for the story.

MATHLETICS Year 6 teamed up with parents to attempt to win a maths relay race. Two teams were pitted against each other in an hour long ‘math marathon.’ Entrants had to answer questions as quickly as possible and then race to the front to get the next question (if you got it wrong, you had to do it again!) This was a taster session for our parents to see the type of questions that Year 6 will be expected to complete at the end of the year. It was so much fun! Thanks to Elsa & Elsa’s mum for the story.
