Beauty and the beast! Secondary talent

MUSICAL Year 5 were invited to Bristnall Hall Academy last Tuesday to watch Beauty and the Beast: The Musical. It was fantastic! The children (and staff) had a brilliant time and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It was lovely to see some ex-Abbey pupils performing with their new peers and have obviously ‘found their feet’ on the stage very quickly! We thought the costumes were great; the acting was really good and we all enjoyed joining in with the popular songs which we knew. We look forward to next year’s performance! Thanks to Mrs. Yale for the story ARTSMARK CELEBRATION On Friday 1st February, Abbey went to the MAC centre in Birmingham to collect our Artsmark Gold certificates. Mrs Yale took us along and we had a great time. We were treated to cake, drinks and we all felt like V.I.Ps. Lordswood were also represented and they sang a beautiful song. We won a free poetry book and when we collected our award we were extremely proud. Celebrating with children and young people from the West Midlands today @PreetKGillMP said 'Arts and culture help us to be happier, healthier and more prosperous.' @Artsmarkaward Thanks to Phoebe in 6J for the story.
