Thinking out of the box. Hands on

THINK TANK Last week Year One children enjoyed a fun-filled day at Birmingham’s Think Tank. There were lots of hands-on experiences to interact with and explore, including fantastic role play areas; how plastic is made and recycled; the human digestive system; engineering in the past and learning about different animals, to name just a few. Children were fascinated, excited, surprised and interested in many of the interactive experiences. Our recent experience with the burst water pipes was re-enacted too! A great day out was had by all and the children learnt a lot about Science and History along the way.

Thanks to Mrs. Donnelly for the story .

SEE IT, SAY IT, REPORT IT There is some very inappropriate content currently being circulated on You Tube, Kids You Tube and Whats App amongst other platforms. I am sure you will have read about the MOMO trend currently in the press. If your child reports to you that any pop ups or inappropriate content has appeared on screens whilst they are working or watching videos, even on kids you tube, then you can help by reporting it straight away. As well as reporting to the app/ web-page source itself, you can also use CEOP. CEOP is an online reporting facility that you can use to report any inappropriate content. There is a link on the homepage of our website.
