What a performance! Princesses and Princes

DISNEY Year One ended their Disney topic with a grand finale performance, for parents and carers to watch. The children have been working hard on the performance alongside their topic this half term and every child was involved with kite fliers, chimney sweeps, jungle animals, monkeys, ribbon dancers, cars and beautiful princesses who each braved a solo piece each. The audience seemed to enjoy it almost as much as the children enjoyed performing for them. We definitely have some budding actors and actresses at Abbey! Thanks to Mrs. Donnelly for the story. RED 5K Olivia Simpson, in 3V, decided she wanted to do something to raise money for all the people who benefit from Comic Relief. She decided to run 5k around Edgbaston reservoir. She did the run on Sunday and completed it in under 40 minutes. Although she was very tired she had fun and raised £100 for comic relief ! Thanks to Olivia’s mum for the story. SAVE THE ELEPHANTS Save these poor creatures as they are endangered in Africa. Just £1 will feed 5 elephants! Lennon, Eliza, Amelia, Daisy, Amrees, Oona, Lily and Emmett are taking part in a ‘bake sale’ at Warley Woods. The event will take place from 15th June to 17th July and all profit will go to the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to help elephants. Thanks to Eliza & Amelia for the story.
