BB5Y LENS June 2019 Vol 5: Issue No. Fifty five Excellence Through Partnership

THE

Sports. Team-working to win.

POTTED Taking over the KS2 playground for a few days, children came together to enjoy sports days on our own site. Rather than using a local stadium we adopted a different approach and ran a collaborative potted sports day. A potted sports event can be used to entertain and exercise physical and mental skills, strength, determination and team work. It can accommodate varying numbers of people with varying degrees of fitness and ability. Working in house teams, all pupils rotated through a range of activities testing different elements of physical, mental, determination and team work. Thanks to Miss Hinton, our talented Y6 Sports Ambassadors and Sandwell Academy for their help in making the days a success.

Class winners in year 1 was 1CP. Winners in Y2 was 2G.
