This is the first new academic building on Trin- ity’s campus since its library opened in 1963 and its con- struction was made possible through generous donations by alumnae and community benefactors. To shepherd this ambitious project through to completion, Trinity retained JLL for proj- ect management with EYP Architecture & Engineer- ing and Clark Construc- tion Group, LLC as the design build team. JLL’s over- sight has ensured the build- ing’s delivery on schedule and well below budget. Now that the new Payden Academic Center has achieved substan- tial completion, faculty and equipment are being moved over the summer in prepara- tion for the start of classes in August 2016. The building is a fulfillment of Trinity’s strategic long-range goals for academic excellence, creativ- ity and greater capacity. n

JLL served as the project manager for the $38 million, 80,000 s/f, LEED cer- tified building that features state-of-the-art nursing and science labs, classrooms and gathering spaces where ris- ing generations of Trinity students will flourish. The project was delivered on time and under budget. The Payden Academic Center is named in honor of the family of Joan A. Payden, a graduate of Trin- ity and the lead benefactor of the capital campaign that supported this construction project. “The completion of Trin- ity’s Payden Academic Center solidifies the University’s reputation for academic qual- ity and enables students to prepare for future careers in a state-of-the-art environ- ment that will increase the school’s competitiveness for many years,” said Michelle
