Tree Lighting Ceremony Friday, Dec. 6 / 7 – 10 p.m. Feel the Christmas Spirit come alive as the City of Pearland hosts the traditional lighting of the City’s Christmas tree. The event includes a live band on the Westside Veterinary Hospital Stage, snow in the H-E-B Winter Wonderland, horse and carriage rides presented by UHCL Pearland Campus, strolling entertainment and a special visit from Santa Claus to help us light the tree. Free All ages Independence Park, 3449 Pearland Parkway Hometown Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 7 / 6 p.m. It’s the 38th year for the family-favorite, lighted Christmas Parade. Join us to watch the beautifully decorated floats decked out in holiday spirit. Businesses, non-profit organizations, families, individuals and civic groups are invited to participate in the parade. Entry applications will be available online beginning August 1. Sign up early, space is limited. Parade meeting: Monday, Nov. 4 or Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the RCN.
