Must also be able to perform Preschool Level 2 skills with assistance starting or ending the skill. Participants work to master skills learned in Preschool Level 2, so that they can be performed without physical assistance from the instructor. ARC PRESCHOOL AQUATICS LEVEL 1 In this level, your child is introduced to basic skills. These skills lay the foundation for developing water competency and the future skill development of swimming strokes. In addition, your child starts to develop positive attitudes and safe practices around the water. $50 resident / $62.50 non-resident 4 – 6 years RCN Mon./Wed. or Tues./Thur., Sept. 3 – Dec. 5, time varies ARC PRESCHOOL AQUATICS LEVEL 2 In this level, our instructors follow a plan to introduce new swimming and water safety skills that are developmentally appropriate for young children. This level continues laying the foundation for developing water competency and further skill development. Preschool Aquatics Level 2 marks the beginning of independent aquatic locomotion ARC PARENT & CHILD AQUATICS Designed for children 18 months to 3 years of age, and their parents. Participant will: practice blowing bubbles; explore submerging the mouth, nose, eyes and head completely; explore buoyancy on the front and back; gliding on the front and back with assistance; explore submerging in a rhythmic pattern; beginning swimming using combined arm and leg action on the front and back with assistance; changing body position in the water. Children must wear a swim diaper with a swimsuit over it until they are potty-trained. Children ages 9 months–17 months may register in the class, however the curriculumwill be geared to ages 18 months–3 years. Classes consist of eight 25-minute lessons. $50 resident / $62.50 non-resident 9 months – 4 years RCN Mon./Wed. or Tues./Thur., Sept. 4 – Dec. 4, time varies
