from within Elgin County and beyond, stimulating economic growth and diversifying tourism dollars. Dutton Mercantile, situated on Main Street in Dutton, also benefited from the Elgincentives Façade, Signage, and Property Improvement Grant, receiving $1,955.66 for façade enhancements. As the largest storefront on Main Street, Dutton Mercantile required aesthetic enhancements to restore its appeal. The renovations, strongly encouraged by community members, gave the business a clean and classic look, complementing the surrounding buildings and businesses in Dutton’s tourism area. The upgraded façade not only enhances the visual appeal of Main Street but also strengthens Dutton Mercantile’s position as a beautiful focal point in the area. This improvement underscores how local business enhancements can strengthen the community and improve the quality of life for residents. The success stories of Guenther Homes, Brandywine Garden Market, and Dutton Mercantile exemplify the positive impact of the Elgincentives grant program on the region’s economic growth and on the enhanced quality of life for residents and visitors. These initiatives demonstrate Elgin County’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment, stimulating local investment, and enhancing the appeal of each community. If you are interested in learning more about ways Elgin County can support your business, we’d like to hear from you! While the Elgincentives program intake is currently closed, the TIEG is open year-round, and businesses undertaking major projects can apply at any time.
