First Baptist Church Rev. Don Lyons, Westerlo, NY
The ministry at Westerlo is to reach out to the youth of the church. We join in with their activities of the weekend such as an electronic game night, all night in the ark with games, fun fair, and a spaghetti din ner. We are there to give spiritual encour agement to the youth as they strive on for the Lord. Our group is also involved in various Sunday School classes where we observe how they are taught and also have a chance to teach. Most of the experience we gain at Westerlo will be of great help when we go on to serve God in the future. Brenda Herbst

Maranatha Baptist Church Rev. Richard Brasser, Malta, NY
Maranatha Baptist Church is a small local church located in Malta, New York about 50 miles south of Schroon Lake. Our group had the opportunity of working with the youth of the church ranging anywhere from infants to col lege age. We have taught Sunday schools, lead junior church, and have taken the junior and senior highers bowling, swimming, and hiking. We have also had the opportunity to work in the community. We have gone door-to-door witnessing in home com munities as well as apartment complex es. We have also had the chance to go to the “infirmary” which is an old people’s home and minister there. Once a month we have a Sunday service for them. We feel the Lord is using local churches in a mighty way. Dawn Miller
