As Goes the Church, So Goes the Nation (Part 2)

been in attendance. Apparently they have more important things to do than to end abor- tion in America. If the Church doesn’t speak up for the unborn, who will? The Church is fail- ing to lead on all fronts — in all these moral choices. The sad truth is, as wit- nessed above, the Church can no longer lead itself, a certainly not a nation. And as a result, America’s moral compass lies smashed and broken on the streets of Min- neapolis and cities like it throughout America.

In November of last year, a pastor in New York joyfully an-

Oh, what has hap- pened to the Church in America … to those commanded to go out and make disciples of men … to those in charge of the moral compass of our great nation? It is no longer recognizable from what it used to be. Very little difference — if any — can be found between the churches and the evil culture they are to be contending with. How did we get here? Many pastors have turned shepherding into a “career” as op- posed to a “calling.” They are more inter- ested in “hits” and “likes” on their posts and podcasts than leading a nation or sav- ing souls. Not long ago, a prominent pastor of a large church in North Carolina “gleefully” an- nounced to his congre- gation that he finally hit his goal of one mil- lion views on YouTube! He failed to mention all it took was COVID, and the shutting down of churches, for him to at- tain his personal goal! Pride is alive and well within the American Church today! But it was Apostle Paul who hit the nail on the head as to what has happened to the Church today. Paul warns us in 1 Corinthi- ans 5:6, “Don’t you know that a little lump of leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?” He is teaching that a little bit of immorality destroys the whole church. He is teaching us that sin is like can- cer, and to accept sin is to accept cancer, which will eventually destroy the whole body. Folks, the Church today — the Body of Christ — is so cancer ravaged it is totally un- recognizable. For those who may doubt me, I

nounced from his pul- pit that he was “transitioning” — af- firming to all that he was giving up on being a man and transition- ing into a “woman.” This is just one exam- ple, for drag queens and transsexuals oc- cupy the pulpits and spew their lies that are contrary to Scripture and God’s creation of man and woman. Just this week, a Baptist minister down south declared to his congregation that both pre-marital and extra- marital sex is accept- able according to the Bible, giving the green light and his blessing to extra marital affairs within his congrega- tion. In my own little farm community of some 1,900 people, a lesbian “pastor” recently preached on the 18 Bible verses that “jus- tify” homosexuality. I bet she excluded Leviti- cus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” The American Church proudly ac- cepts and even pro- motes homosexuality by flying the “pride flag” high atop its steeples. Pornography has seeped its way into the church and eroding the spiritual health of its

men and one third of Christian women all struggle with pornogra- phy. Yet, less than 7% of churches address it! Recent studies also show that one in five Christians participate in abortion — pur- posely ending the life of a child. Today, only 43% of Christians characterize them- selves as “pro-life” … which is a huge de- crease from 63% just three years ago. Maybe that’s because over 60% of churches refuse to speak of abortion, let alone condemn it. The disciples were willing to risk it all: death, crucifixion, be- heading — all to share and defend the whole truth of Scripture. Today, pastors aren’t willing to risk a few empty seats! That’s the sorry condition of the Church today. And speaking of abortion, over the past year on the second Tuesday of every month, I travel 35 miles to another church to attend a “prayer meeting for the unborn.” The meeting is held in a church boasting over some 2,000 members and attendees. How- ever, at a typical meet- ing, there are only 8 to 9 of us in attendance to pray for the un- born. So, in doing the

Even more surpris- ing, not a single pastor from this church has ever attended our meeting — nor has a single pastor’s wife
