Welcome FROM THE PRESIDENT I am so glad you are considering Missouri Valley
College. I’ll never forget my time here as a student, and how it shaped my future. As president, I can assure you we are focused on preparing you for what’s next. That means beginning with the end in mind. We’ll start conversations with you as a freshman about job opportunities in your major, internships with our partners, and career readiness.
This campus is full of activity and opportunity. Student engagement is at record levels because of our amazing activity crew, coming up with everything from casino nights to concerts on the quad. We have a new generation library that offers collaboration, academic coaching, modern resources, and of course, books. And you can always hang out at the Bistro on campus and join me for coffee at Starbucks. One of the best things you can do is come to campus for a visit. We’ll greet you in our Welcome Center, where you can chat with admissions counselors and student success experts. You can go on a tour, visit professors, see a dorm room, visit a locker room, or even take in a performance in the theatre. Our campus will wow you! If you’re far away and can’t make it in right away for a visit, we’re very proud of our Virtual Tour on the front page of the website. On your tour, stop by the president’s office in Baity Hall. I’d love to meet you and welcome you to Valley. Dr. Joe Parisi, President

GOD FAMILY COUNTRY
“Dr. Parisi came and talked to the men’s soccer team... He put such an emphasis on faith, God, and family. These ingredients, he said,
help make us better human beings, and athletes. We have to have faith in our teammates and our classmates, they are family. He stressed to us that building our faith would make us better husbands, fathers, friends, and teammates... He was such an inspiration to me. He reminded me of my father.” -Malik Hasanovikj , Soccer Student Athlete

Missouri Valley College got its start in 1889 when leaders from the Presbyterian Church worked together to create a new faith-based college in mid-Missouri. Today, faith remains a pillar at MVC, rooted in our values and our practices. Stewart Chapel provides our community with a quiet place for personal reflection, meditation, and chapel services. Our student population is religiously diverse, and we foster the spiritual growth of all faiths. GOD

OUR FACULTY
This is my 5th year teaching at the Julie Ann Deems Julien School of Nursing and Health Sciences. I am passionate about the care of women throughout their lifespan, with my favorite aspect being prenatal care and delivery. Learning to be a professor was challenging, but I have found a new love for education here at MVC that rivals my passion for midwifery. The small class sizes really allow me to get to know my students, and the new technology we have is exceptional. Come join our program. I’d love to show you how fulfilling being an RN and beyond really is. Deanna Donnell, Assistant Professor of Nursing, BSN Program MSN, RN, CNM
“As an adviser, I always tell my students that, when choosing a career path, it’s important to think about what your life will look like on a daily basis, years down the road. It’s one of the things I truly love what I do at Missouri Valley College. The opportunity to get to talk to students about biology on a daily basis, to get to know new people from all over the world, and to help them navigate the college experience is truly a rewarding honor and privilege. Every day, I am here to help students succeed in my classroom and beyond, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.” Dr. Andrew Linsenbardt , Dean, School of Science & Agriculture, Associate Professor of Biology
