MVC SCHOLARSHIPS
MVC Resident/Commuter Scholarship | Amount: Varies Eligibility Criteria: Must be accepted to MVC Board of Trustees | Amount: up to $5,000 Eligibility Criteria: A member of the Board of Trustees must recommend applicant prior to initial scholarship offer. Alumni | Amount: $1,000 Eligibility Criteria: New students only. Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from an alumni of MVC. Six awarded annually. Student must live on-campus. Top Scholar | Amount: $17,500-$22,000 Eligibility Criteria: 3.0+ GPA or above and an AA Degree required. Talent | Amount: Varies Eligibility Criteria: Amounts are awarded based on students various talents including, but not limited to academics, fine arts, leadership and athletics. Virginia Zank Scholarship (Writing Studies) | Amount: $1,000 Eligibility Criteria: ACT 21 or higher (and/or SAT Critical Reading and Math score of 976 or higher) and high school GPA 3.0. Submit a 500-word essay describing your relationship to writing. What and why you write? What are your writing goals? How will the Virginia Zank Scholarship help you achieve your goals? Loren Gruber Scholarship (Literary Studies) | Amount: $500 Eligibility Criteria: ACT 21 or higher (and/or SAT Critical Reading and Math score of 976 or higher) and high school GPA 3.0. Submit a 500-word essay about your favorite book, blog, poem, play, essay, or film. Explain how this text has influenced your goals for life before, during, and after college. How will the Loren Gruber Scholarship help you achieve your goals? Drive 60 Scholarship | Amount: $15,000 Eligibility Criteria: Open to all students attending a high school within 60 miles of the MVC campus. High School graduates must enroll at MVC the semester following their high school graduation to be eligible. Scholarship recipients must maintain full-time commuter status throughout their MVC academic career. Students have to meet the regular requirements for Eligibility Criteria: All Eagle Scouts are invited to apply for Missouri Valley College’s generous Eagle Scout Scholarship. Must apply and be accepted to Missouri Valley College, and must provide documentation of Eagle Scout status. Scholarships for Military Families | Amount: Varies Eligibility Criteria: For Military Families Valley Select Scholarship | Amount: Full Tuition admission at Missouri Valley College. (2.3 GPA) Eagle Scout Scholarship | Amount: up to $10,500 Eligibility Criteria: Invitation-only scholarship competition. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75 to be invited to participate and have a service mindset.
