In the spring of 2024 we purchased the high selling bull on Landgren’s sale. Land Chief 2097 has been a huge addition. Chief is the #1 bull in the entire breed for WW and YW. There is not a single animal with a higher WW or YW epd in the breed! We own Chief in partnership with Upstream Ranch and Landgren Ranch. We have built our program with a disciplined focus on producing seedstock that excels in growth, fertility, and long-term economic value. In today’s cattle market, pounds drive profitability. An additional 80 pounds at weaning can add $300+ per head, making performance-based genetics more important than ever. Total pounds marketed matter. Weaning 100 calves at 550 pounds equals the same total pounds as weaning 75 calves at 750 pounds—highlighting the importance of superior growth, efficiency, and yield. Our cattle are designed to deliver the consistent performance and maternal strength required to maximize profitability in progressive cow herds.
