In addition to those traits, we appreciate our buyers for believing in our program—bulls that have low birth weights to be put on heifers for calving ease—therefore having more live calves at birth. Also, low PAP bulls that are actually PAP tested at a High Altitude, to help insure more calves survive and come off high county summer pastures alive.. As many of you are aware, they are finding “ Brisket ” , heart conditions in feedlot animals. T.V. Jones used to say in his catalog letter, “ The cattle continue to provide you a source of top bulls and very functional females. We will let the cattle speak for themselves when you see them on sale day ”. T.V. was our sale manager and passed away in 2017. In this years catalog, Dr. Robert (Bob) Mortimer was not able do his letter. Unfortunately, Bob, passed away a few days after our sale last year. He now joins Adrian, Sheldon, Lyle and T.V. riding in greener pastures and talking about cattle. We miss you all. Welcome fellow Cattle Producers & Friends. We truly appreciate the opportunity to invite our fellow Cattlemen and Friends to our 41st Annual sale. In 1960, when we were young girls, six and four, our father bought his first registered Angus cows. We were living at Tie Siding and came to “ love the cattle, and taking care of them. ” We fill very fortunate & blessed to still continue our ranching and raising black Angus cattle. Congratulations and “ Hats Off ” to our fellow cattlemen for their unwavering dedication to the cattle industry. Record cattle prices are being recorded , rewarding producers for all their efforts & hard work. The cattle that we are marketing are going on to be recognized as a healthy & wholesome source of protein for the world. Dietary guidelines, now, show beef in the top of the pyramid. Dad starting to Artificial Inseminate (A.I.) cattle in the mid 1960’ s, which was the start of many years of cattle improvement for Weaver Ranch. North of the town of Tie Siding, on the east side of highway 287, an alley still remains that he built for his first few years of A.I. ’ ing. It ’ s incredible how much the whole concept of Artificial Insemination and everything involved has changed. Every year or so we try to use at least one , new outside A.I. sire. This year ’ s offering has no new sires, but we are offering A.I. bulls sired by McConnell Altitude 3114 (son ’ s in 2024 and 2025 sales) and Stevenson Turning Point (son ’ s in 2024 sale). We are very excited with all the bulls in this years offering !!! Susan and Mourine took time in 2025 to attend social events for special people in their lives and industry. May 17th, found them attending Jim & Iris Willadsen ’ s , 250th year celebration in Cheyenne at the Old West Museum (they have been repeat buyers for many years). May 18th, Mourine attended special friend, Audrey , her 95th birth- day party in Forsyth, Montana. June 21st found them attending Macey and Justin Kinds wedding in Busby, Montana. August 7th, Susan, Mourine, Russ and Isaias attend- ed the Laramie County Fair steer show in Cheyenne. Guy and Kathy Landers, (repeat bull buyers) had 8 steers, sired by Weaver Ranch bulls, shown by their grandchildren and other young beef enthusiasts. August 15-16, Mourine attended the 45th H.S. reunion for the class of 1980., in Yuma. September 5th, they attended CSU “ Fall Gather ” where they saw college friends/coworkers, Gene & Nancy Oliver. Nancy is the daughter of Dr. John Matsushima. Dr. Matsushima was Susan ’ s , Livestock Nutrition profes- sor at CSU. Also saw Chuck and Ronnie Sylvester, past bull buyers. SALE DAY INFORMATION
SALE SETTLEMENT: All cattle shall be paid for the day of the sale, unless prior arrangements have been made. Terms are cash or checks made out to Weaver Ranch, Inc. All cattle become the responsibility of the buyer at time of purchase. DELIVERY AND FEED: Free delivery on bulls delivered in Colorado, Wyoming and other destinations within 300 miles of Weaver Ranch. $100.00 credit will be given on each bull if buyer hauls the bulls within 10 days of the sale. After 10 days, a $4.00/bull/day charge will be as- sessed for any bulls remaining until the date of pickup. GUARANTEE: All bulls with a PAP score of 45 or less are guaranteed against High Altitude Disease for one year. In addition, the bulls are guaranteed as breeders for one breeding season. This guarantee does not extend to physical injuries or subsequent disease which may occur during the breeding season or later. HEALTH: Health certificates will be provided as neces- sary for intra or interstate movement. Cattle meet the re- quirements for immediate movement within Colorado and the State of Wyoming. If additional testing is required for any other area, state or country, it is the responsibility of the buyer and has to be completed before shipment. The cost of any additional testing shall be paid by the buyer at the time of sale.

HERD HEALTH Buyer confidence is a high priority at Weaver Ranch. Therefore, the following health management practices are in place for the sale bulls: 1) All bulls selected for sale have received all of the standard calfhood vaccinations at branding and/or post weaning. In additi on, all animals were screened to detect a potential BVD PI animal. To date, no PI animal has ever been identified since we have started testing. Thus, buyers can be assured that all animals sold through the sale are not BVD-PI carriers. 2) All bulls are tested for High Mountain Disease using the Pulmonary Arterial Pressure (PAP) test. The PAP was applied when the bulls were at Tie Siding, Wyoming at an elevation of 7500 feet. This allows the greatest predictability of the test. Dr. Tim Holt performed the PAP on September 3, 2025. Bulls with a PAP greater than 45 mm/hg should not be taken to the higher elevations . 3) All bulls eligible for sale met the Society for Theriogenology standards for reproductive soundness. 4) Only virgin bulls are sold. Nevertheless, all bulls will be screened for Trichomoniasis to meet intrastate requirements and also some interstate regulations . 5) The bulls were fertility & trich tested on January 27, 2026 by Dr. Tim Holt and his staff. The bulls were also poured.
The “ Herd Health ” page is dedicated to honor the memory of Dr. Robert (Bob) Mortimer. Unfortunately, Bob passed away on February 21, 2025. Susan, Mourine and the Beef Industry felt a great loss and were saddened by his passing. Bob had been an integral part of Weaver Ranch for many years. He was not only the ranch veterinarian, - upon retirement from CSU, part time employment found him at the ranch- spending many hours in the saddle helping move & work cattle - haying - fencing, and still doing preg checking and fertility testing. His lovely wife, Vicki, helped him many times at the Rafter 4. Bob Mortimer– Veterinarian, Friend, Mentor
HERD MANAGEMENT
• Weaver calves are tagged and weighed at birth. The calves are weighed again at weaning and as yearlings for our records and to provide herd data to the American Angus Association to be used to calculate EPDs and herd ratios. Weights are also taken whenever needed with the scales located on our facilities. • Weaver Ranch, yearling bulls & yearling heifers, spend the summer at Tie Siding, elevation of 7500. • Weavers have started to take 50 cows with bull calves to summer pasture at Tie Siding. The first calf heifer pairs have been going to Virginia Dale for the summer. • Weaver Ranch cattle are worked with 4-wheelers and on foot. The cattle rarely are worked by horseback. • Weaver Ranch bulls are managed for maintenance and natural growth, letting the bulls mature naturally to enhance their lon- gevity, performance and production. The bulls came home from summer pasture at Tie Siding November 14-15, 2025. They ’ ve been getting 4# of protein pellets, 17# - 20# grass hay and access to protein lick tubs. Mineral package in both pellets & tubs. • These Weaver Ranch bulls have not been pushed on grain, primped or pampered. They are sold in their “ working clothes ” and they are ready to go to work for you immediately!

How to read the figures provided with each bull
SIRE EVALUATION AC - Accuracy is the reliability that can be placed on the EPD. An accuracy of close to 1.0 indicates higher reliability. Accuracy is affected by the number of progeny and ancestral records included in the analysis. $ EN - Cow Energy Value, expressed in dollar savings per cow per year, assesses differences in cow energy requirements as an expected dollar savings difference in daughters of sires. A larger value is more favorable when comparing two animals (more dollars saved on feed energy expenses). Components for computing the cow $EN savings difference include lactation energy requirements and energy costs associated with differences in mature cow size. $ W - Weaned Calf Value, an index value expressed in dollars per head, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for preweaning merit. $W includes both revenue and cost adjustments associated with differences in birth weight, weaning direct growth, maternal milk and mature cow size. $ F - Feedlot Value, an index value expressed in dollars per head, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for postweaning merit compared to progeny of other sires. $ G - Grid Value, an index value expressed in dollars per head, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for carcass grid merit compared to progeny of other sires. $ B - Beef Value, an index value expressed in dollars per head, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for postweaning and carcass value compared to progeny of other sires. CARCASS TRAITS - The registration papers do have the Carcass EPD ’ s for the explained below. • MEPD - Marbling EPD, expressed as a fraction of USDA marbling score, is a predictor of the difference in marbling of a sire ’ s progeny compared to progeny of other sires. • REPD - Ribeye Area EPD, expressed in square inches, is a predictor of the difference in ribeye area of a sire ’ s progeny compared to progeny of other sires. • FEPD - Fat Thickness EPD, expressed in inches, is a predictor of the differences in external fat thickness at the 12 th rib of a sire ’ s progeny com- pared to progeny of other sires. MATERNAL TRAITS $ C - Combined Value—expressed in dollars per head, is an index which includes all traits that make up both Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) and Beef Value ($B) with the objective that commercial producers will replace 20% of their breeding females per year with replacement heifers re- tained within their own herd. The remaining cull heifer and steer progeny are then assumed to be sent to the feedlot where the producers retain ownership of those cattle and eventually sell them on a quality-based carcass merit grid. $ M - Maternal Weaned Calf Value—an index expressed in dollars per head, to predict profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from con- ception to weaning. GROWTH AND MATERNAL EVALUATION • Age of Dam is the age of the Dam at the time each sale bull calved and is included with each sale bull pedigree. • Expected Progeny Difference ( EPD ) is the prediction of how future progeny of each animal are expected to perform relative to the progeny of other animals listed in the American Angus Sire Evaluation database. • EPDs are expressed in units of measure for the trait, plus or minus. The EPDs listed in this catalog reflect the most current EPDs provided by the American Angus Association through their Sire Evaluation Reports. PRODUCTION INFORMATION • CED - Calving Ease Direct is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births, with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf heifers. It predicts the average difference in ease with which a sire ’ s calves will be born when he is bred to first-calf heifers. • BEPD - Birth Weight EPD, expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire ’ s ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny compared to that of other sires. • WEPD - Weaning Weight EPD, expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire ’ s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires. • Milk - Weaning Weight Maternal EPD, expressed in pounds of calf weaned, is a predictor of a sire ’ s genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters compared to daughters of other sires. It is that part of a calf ’ s weaning weight attributed to milk and mothering ability. • YEPD - Yearling Weight EPD, expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire ’ s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires. HERD INFORMATION • BW - Birth Weight, is the actual birth weight of each bull. • PAP - Pulmonary Arterial Pressure, is the score taken on each bull in the fall after summering at Tie Siding, Wyoming, at elevation of 7500 feet.
