OPEN AIR TEAM A AND B

•I i i •• •m*i

In addition to the various groups that had their weekend ministries with local churches, choir, or other traveling groups, there were two open air teams formed to do outdoor evangelism. The students on these teams were based on campus for the weekend where classes were scheduled to train the teams to be effective witnesses for the Lord. Chuck Hall had several seminars on Personal Evangelism, and Phil McKain, from CEF, taught us how to gear our messae to the young heart. Of particular interest was a session taught by a member of our own class. Bob Seidner did an excellant job, not only of training us in how to witness to a Jew, but also in competing for attention with the tame pigeon that had decided to come to class that morning. (Credit must be given to Bob, he was doing admirably well until the pigeon fluttered down and landed on his shoulder!) Members of the Open Air weekend ministry also held several seminars on the various parts of an open air meeting. Each team was given ample opportunity to put into practice the things they had learned as the teams would go into neighboring communities on alternate weekends and conduct open air meetings, witness on college campuses, in shopping centers, and go door-to- door. Throughout the year we saw the Lord bless as we learned to serve Him.
