THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION
Thanksgiving was, as it always is, a time of reflection and warmness as we think of the many blessings from God and express gratitude to Him for everything. We enjoyed talking, sharing, and getting to know friends through the activities. These included the student vs. married students and staff football game, female student vs. female dorm-supervisors football game, the Turkey- Trot Run, and the delicious banquet dinner with bountiful amounts of turkey, dressing, vegetables, pumpkin ice cream, fruit, and other treats that give you that “stuffy” feeling. And it was a treat to hear great music at the banquet
including the Collegians, the Russian Trio, and Christine Wyrtzen, among others. We were also blessed by a message by Pastor Scheide from God’s Word. The gym and dining hall were transformed into a cozy country setting with corn stalks, scarecrows, a hay wagon, and beautiful ice-sculptures and food decorations. We’re thankful for this Thanksgiving highlight in our lives.
