When the Missions Conference finally arrived on January 4, 1980, the student body had been aware of its coming for quite a while. Much preparation had gone into the conference as was evidenced by the skits and decorations. This planning continued to show itself as the four-day conference got underway. The program ran smoothly with many
different speakers and sessions. The conclusion of the Missions Conference was marked by an
International Banquet and a faith pledge offering. The goal of $35,000 for various mission projects was reached and passed as a total of $43,600 in pledges and cash was received.
