SKIT NIGHT Without a doubt, Skit Night was an enjoyable and amusing time for both participants and audience. Bemie Belisle arranged the program which included musical skits, magic, humorous skits, and suspense, many depicting dorm and student life at Word of Life. A bit of the action included female Russians, bacon, Edith-Ann, Imperials, demerit workers, Cybil, bubbles, drop-outs, graders, true love, and Oh no, said I ... we can’t remember them all!
SPRING BANQUET The theme of the Spring Banquet was “Memories”, and memories there were, the decorations were a combination from the past banquets, including Thanksgiving, Missions Conference, and Valentine’s Day. An excellent program was hosted by Jim Mossop and Becky Roentsch and many other students. The program consisted of highights from the special happenings of the year. It was also a great privilege to have Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Dark with us for the banquet. Alvin Dark is a former player and manager of major league baseball, including the Oakland A’s, who won the World Series when Mr. Dark was manager. Everyone was blessed and greatly challenged by Mr. and Mrs. Dark’s strong, uncompromising stand for the Lord. Both told of the ways God had and is working in their lives, especially through their involvement in professional athletics. This,
too, was a day to be remembered by all.
