Nobody could say for sure exactly when it arrived. But one day we just knew . . . spring was here. It did not follow the calendar (none of the weather did this year). It just crept in and one day we noticed it had come. There was something in the air, a whiff caught on the breeze that took us away to another place, another springtime. Then there was the rain, coming, going, coming again, always leaving the air so fresh, so clean. Everything did not suddenly change. We still had tests, verse quizzes and announcements. The deans were not any more likely to believe a wild story than before. But in some undefinable way, things were different. Spring had come to WOLBI.
