Robust was the phenotypic standout of the 2021 Sitz Angus Spring Bull Sale. Having surfaced from a large and competitive group of contemporar- ies, we are certain he carries prepotent genes for the traits our customers find important. After seeing Robust’s dam out working in tough conditions and how well she maintained her flesh, power and soundness, we felt he was a must- have. We believe she closely resembles another dy- namic Upward daughter that formerly roamed our pastures, EA Bells Girl 2181. Our Robust daughters in production are carrying on the same qualities. Those who have seen Robust in person know he has matured into an impressive individual. He is owned with Raven Angus and Lott Farms.

Built much like their sire, Ellingson Robust 4917 and his paternal brothers are impressive stockmen bulls with their burly phenotypes. Lot 347 bent the performance curve, capturing a production birth ratio of 99 and a weaning ratio of 104. His Ellingson Chaps 4095 dam is a beautifully fronted female with exceptional foot and udder structure, fleshing ease and angularity. She is a maternal sister to the donor dam EA Emblynette 9311, who has been a consistent herd favorite. Her dam is still an active producer at 10 years of age. A maternal brother to Lot 347 was selected by Kim and Laurie Entze in last year’s Ellingson Angus Real-World Genetics Production Sale. Lot 347 is a three-quarter brother to Lot 348.
