75 OPEN REPLACEMENT HEIFERS: The Roseland family is once again offering a top-notch set of high-performance heifer calves. We have helped market their females for numerous years with excellent customer satisfaction. The freight on these heifers will be less for anyone from the south or east needing females, as they are located in east central South Dakota. The Roselands are progressive producers, always selling 850-plus-pound steers in December. They buy top bulls for their herd, and have an extensive A.I. program for both their cows and heifers. Their heifers are sired by Brickhouse and Authorize 0380, along with sons of Badlands and Three Rivers. Bulls like Roughrider, Boardwalk, Homegrown and Rider Pride anchor the pedigrees of their cowherd. Sal & Kelly Roseland, Seneca, SD: (605) 216-2436 783-857 Roseland Ranch, Seneca, SD
75 OPEN REPLACEMENT HEIFERS: The Dolezal family of Dunn Center and Halliday has a long-es- tablished cattle herd with a focus on using half-brothers from a sire group to maximize uniformity. Dolezals always have an im- pressive set of feeder calves that are alike from the first to the last when we help ship their steers each fall. These females have been selected for fertility and longevity, while still maintaining rapid early growth. These heifers are sired by Profound, Badlands, Turn Key, Barricade and Rainmaker sons, with the cowherd being heavily represented by Roughrider, Powerpoint and Homestead. They have always purchased from the front end of our sale, plus used a lot of A.I. in their program. Their herd is heavily influenced by Rider Pride, Badlands and Profound. They start calving in February, so these females will have a little more age and size to them. They operate a large cow-calf operation and also finish all their steers. They know what it takes to make a cow work, while matching those genetics up with end-product merit. We have sold these heifers privately numerous times over the years and have always had satisfied buyers when the females arrived.
