Ausbred Flirt A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be displaying heat stress. RAND16/09/2023 Climbing Star (NZ) Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide through the early stages before

crossing to obtain the lead near the 1000m. Rider reported it had not been the intention to lead, however when caught wide, he elected to stride forward in order to obtain a position closer to the rail. Daniel Moor added the mare lacked focus in the lead and would be best ridden with cover in future. A post‑race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. FLEM 16/09/2023 Raced three wide without cover throughout. Near the 300m was steadied to avoid heels. Rider reported he was instructed to ride his mount where comfortable, however was caught three wide without cover and as a result travelled closer than intended. He added his mount travelled well throughout and near the 300m he struck interference and from this point on, he rode the gelding over the concluding stages hands and heels and in his opinion mount ran on well. He further explained after the race, his mount pulled up heavy in the wind, however felt comfortable in its action. FLEM 16/09/2023 Raced wide without cover for majority of event. M V 09/09/2023 Vet exam prior to race and was passed fit to start.CAUL 02/09/2023 Rdr reported the gelding travelled well in a forward position throughout the early and middle stages, but when placed under pressure in the home straight, failed to respond to his riding and weakened from the race. He added that, in his opinion, the gelding would appreciate racing on tracks with more give in them in the future. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abnormalities. NCLE 15/09/2023

From its wide barrier was then shifted behind rnrs in the early stages. RAND 08/04/2023 Hopeful (FR) Began only fairly. Near the 700m was severely checked to avoid a fallen rnr, then took no further competitive part in the event. A post- race vet exam revealed no abnormalities.
