This guy is not hard to find in the pen. Extra good looking, soft made and as stout as any in the offering. I wish I could write you a big fancy foot note about cow family and all that stuff with this bull, but the story is he is just a dang good bull that always catches my eye and I think he will do a good job for his new owner. He’s an attractive made bull that moves like a cat with extra body dimension and foot size. He also reads on paper as a potential calving ease sire. We didn’t have this bulls mother in the calving barn as she wasn’t due to calve, but his bull was born early in the hay field where we winter our cows on an extremely cold day. I always have a soft spot for the ones who fight to live when the chips are stacked against them and that’s exactly what this guy did. A bit more top shape, hip, and rear quarter in this Simmental sired SimAngus bull. Lots of good Ohlde Angus genetics on the bottom side of his pedigree. While his dam is a more moderate, efficiently made kind of female, this bull had plenty of frame. I’ve notice that 2 generations away from the Ohlde cattle, you still get the added efficiency, but still are able to add more performance and I would expect that out of this guys calves.
