September was filled with music, celebrations and footy fever at Holmwood! We kicked off the month celebrating our dedicated lifestyle coordinator Stacey as our August Employee of the Month, followed by the launch of our popular new afternoon exercise programme at 3:30pm daily in the gym, led by our amazing care team. The spring racing carnival brought excitement with Cup Day celebrations featuring our own resident races, delicious spring treats, sweeps and plenty of smiles despite the weather not cooperating. Father’s Day was celebrated in style with live music from Anthony during Friday Happy Hour, whilst we wore our team colours with pride for footy- themed activities including trivia, goal kicking and staff games leading up to the AFL Grand Final. Musical entertainment delighted us all with Steph’s Musical Melodies session, and we welcomed our adorable friends from Nurture One, Steel Street for a heartwarming intergenerational morning filled with bubbles, cuddles, stories and smiles. The month concluded with Kaylene receiving our September Employee of the Month award, recognising her wonderful work as a night duty personal carer.
